  1. Challenging academics and a nurturing, family-like atmosphere.

We chose ESD for many reasons, but the two most significant factors were their strong academics and their even stronger community. As a new family this year to Lower School, we were welcomed into the community as soon as we accepted our offer of admission. We were paired with buddy families so our kids would have friends on the first day. Our buddy family in addition to the administration guided us every step of the way which allowed our entire family to make a seamless transition. Our students were in a public school previously, so understanding the private school culture was new to us but we always felt welcomed. We are appreciative of the diversity of the school in both students and faculty. We can already see the academic growth of our students this year. We are so thankful we found ESD!
