Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas (Jesuit Dallas) was founded in 1942 as a private Catholic institution for young men under the direction of the Society of Jesus. Located on a 34-acre campus in North Dallas, the School provides a rigorous student-centered Jesuit education to approximately 1,100 students in grades 9-12 with a 9:1 student-teacher ratio. The faculty, of which 65% hold an advanced degree, totals over 135 professionals.

During the 2019-20 academic year, Jesuit Dallas granted nearly $2.6 million in financial assistance to approximately 25% of the student body. Fully accredited by AdvancED (formerly the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools), the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department, and recognized by the Texas Educational Agency, Jesuit Dallas provides a college counseling department to its students that is both highly regarded and nationally prestigious. The School offers nearly 150 courses, including global education programs in the subjects of government, marine biology, and Mandarin. Jesuit Dallas also has student exchange relationships with Jesuit schools in Toulouse, France; Milan, Italy; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Lima, Peru. Nearly 100% of the student body participates in at least one of the School’s 116 extracurricular offerings, which includes nationally reputable programs in robotics, debate, classical studies, athletics, and medical society.

The School’s focus on formation of the whole person results in men who exemplify the ideal described in The Profile of the Graduate, which describes the characteristics of a man who seeks the fullest development of his God-given talents and puts his faith in action. The more than 11,000 graduates — Men for Others — serve as community leaders throughout the globe. As described by Jesuit Dallas President Mike Earsing, “Our students are not just called to be the best in the world; they are called to be the best for the world.”

  • Through daily prayer, School-wide Mass, and class retreats, our students are part of a community which seeks to nurture the seeds of religious faith and commitment to growth in each individual.
  • Community service is one of Jesuit Dallas’ most distinguishing hallmarks. Working with over 350 agencies, students participate in the largest, most comprehensive high school community service program in Texas and one of the largest nationwide.
  • Jesuit Dallas believes that an all-boys environment allows for effective implementation of teaching strategies geared for teenage boys, lessens social pressures, and results in a meaningful brotherhood that most of our alumni carry with them throughout the rest of their lives. Our boys do have lots of opportunities to meet girls through organized social gatherings, community events and coed activities.
  • It is not uncommon for our students to be the only person from their middle school class to enroll, as Jesuit Dallas students originate from 104 zip codes and 44 cities throughout the DFW metroplex.
  • Housing over 700 works by internationally-celebrated artists, the School’s classrooms, offices and hallways double as an art museum. The collection, which spans over 2,000 years, is often incorporated into the curriculum.
