Pantego Christian Academy views the education of each child as a partnership between the school, parents, and the church. God is entrusting us to get the most from each student’s God-given gifts. We’re a covenant school, meaning we accept students from families where at least one parent is a Christ-follower and our school environment is a warm, friendly place. Our leadership-oriented mission includes developing students spiritually, emotionally, and socially, and the best part of PCA is the teachers and families who rally together to accomplish this. At PCA, we emphasize critical reasoning and teach our students to think beyond memorization. If you can teach that, the subject matter is irrelevant as students will be prepared academically and equipped for navigating scenarios throughout their lives.
Pantego Christian Academy’s ECA (Early Childhood Academy) for 18 months to 3-year-olds, a Preschool and Transition program for 4 and 5-year-olds and our Elementary program begins with Kindergarten and goes through 5th grade. Our programing includes Art, STEM, Music, PE, Library, Spanish and Technology classes. We also offer special services for the gifted and talented students through our AIM (Activating Inquisitive Minds) program for 4th and 5th grade students and our CIA (Creative Individual Academics) and Learning Lab programs for our students who have learning differences in the area of dyslexia and the dyslexia family.
As part of our curriculum, we offer individualized instruction to address the academic needs of all our students. Accelerated Reader (AR) is for students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. AR is an individual reading comprehension-based program that challenges the strong readers and encourages growth in the struggling reader. Mathletics is for our Kindergarten-5th grade scholars and is also a computer-based program that is a complement to our Math curriculum. It helps identify areas of needed improvement and individualizes instruction to strengthen those areas. Technology is an important part of our instruction, and we have Smart Boards in K-5th grade classrooms and Chrome book stations in each of our elementary classrooms.
Our secondary classrooms provide multiple levels of courses including on-level, Honors, Pre-AP, Advanced Placement (AP), and Dual Credit. We provide ACT intensives in class that allows our students to improve and increase scores. Pantego Christian Academy students score an average of 29.3 on the ACT (state average 20.6). Our graduating class of 2019 (44 students) earned over 4 million in merit-based scholarships
We hope that you will prayerfully consider joining our family! We would be blessed to partner with you in the development of your scholar as they grow spiritually, academically, emotionally and socially at PCA. For more information please contact us at 817-460-3315
