Prestonwood Christian Academy serves more than 1,600 students enrolled at three campuses: Plano (Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 12th grade), PCA North in Prosper (Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 7th grade) and PCAplus Virtual Academy. PCA North is now enrolling through 8th grade. The school has been recognized as having one of the strongest Christian education programs in the country providing intentional biblical worldview training and integration. PCA places great value on the growth of students’ spiritual health in addition to their scholastic endeavors and co-curricular activities. In addition to PCA’s spiritual development plan, the school promotes a rigorous Liberal Arts academic program. The graduating class of 2017 was offered more than $10 million in scholarship for academics, arts and athletics from universities and other institutions of higher learning. PCA is currently accepting applications. Interested families are invited to take a campus tour or attend an upcoming School Preview to learn more! Details and registration are available at prestonwoodchristian.org/admissions.

  • PCA is accredited by AdvancED and earned Exemplary Accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
  • The student/faculty ratio at PCA in Plano is 12:1, and even lower at PCA North in Prosper.
  • Since the first senior class of 2002, PCA’s 1,527 graduates have been offered almost $100 million in scholarships to universities around the country.
  • The core philosophy of PCA is Kingdom education focusing on bringing the home, church, and school into a partnership for the purpose of training the next generation. Kingdom education is the life-long, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a child into a new identity with Christ.
  • PCA places great importance on working with parents to educate the whole child and partner to allow students to fully develop into all that God has planned for them. PCA has intentionally created staff positions such as Director of Diversity, Director of Biblical Worldview and Director of Campus Ministries to ensure the partnership happens at both student and parent levels.

  1. A Game Changer for Our Family

This is our family’s second year at PCA, and we currently have a first and second grader. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this school and how it has shaped our family and children in such a short period of time. The school, while extremely academically competitive, is so much more than a place to receive a top-notch education. We chose PCA because of its kingdom education and how it prioritizes providing children with a faith that will one day stand on its own. We have seen our childrens’ hearts grow in the things of the Lord beyond our expectations, and it’s even strengthened our home life. One of our children participates in the school’s Learning Lab. For any parent with a child with a learning difference, the resources and personal attention this school provides to families is unparalleled. They have shepherded us and our children and provided tools and personalized strategies that have been invaluable to their future success. Our PCA family has also walked alongside us through some very difficult times. Our family has made wonderful likeminded friends that will last and lifetime. We are so grateful for this school and it’s community of real, Christ-focused people who have hearts to serve others.

  2. Excellent teachers

We have four daughters at PCA and count our blessings to be at such a wonderful school. The teachers are amazing and I love the way they connect with our students in learning! The PCA community cares feels like an extension of family.

  3. Excellent school

We have raised our two children at this school and both will graduate within a couple years! We have loved the biblical eduction and everything PCA has to offer! It feels like a small community and we adore it! You won’t be disappointed!!

  4. We have two daughters that attend Prestonwood. One daughter is in 7th grade at the North campus, and one has attended the Plano campus since 7th grade. For her 11th grade year, she opted to do PCA Plus online academy. The Plus schedule allowed her the flexibility to do other things outside of PCA that take lots of time and attention. It was a blessing to be at a school that offered both on campus and online to their students. As a family, we didn’t have to move one child to a new school in order to do this. The best thing about PCA is that our children receive a biblical worldview education. The next best thing about PCA is that our girls have opportunities to participate in well developed extra curricular activities. We believe that at PCA, our girls will graduate with a strong biblical foundation, and be well rounded individuals both in and outside of the classroom.

  5. PCA, a family experience

We have attended PCA for the past 11 years. Currently we have a 5th grader, 2 7th graders and a 9th grader attending PCA. We truly love our PCA family. Our number one priority was to find a school that offered a Christian education, without compromising our academic education. From Kindergarten through high school we certainly feel we have achieved this goal. We also have a 3rd grader that needed a different school for her special circumstances. Something unique about PCA is that we feel all of our kids are a part of the PCA community. It is a family experience and we are extremely grateful for this. I have found that staff and administration are accessible and approachable. The idea of partnering with someone in order to raise our children to love Him and use their gifts is exactly what we wanted in a school!

  6. PCA Educates With Excellence!

PCA has been our school home since our oldest was in PreK-he is now a Sophomore. Our other two boys are in 8th and 7th! We have been blessed by the partnership with this community of passionate and gifted Educators and strong men and women of Faith! Our boys have been challenged with a rigorous academic curriculum while at the same time have been challenged to love and revere God and to love and serve others well through a Biblical Worldview. We love that PCA desires to see each student excel with the ability to learn that God has given whether that is on an AP track, in our Learning Lab for kids that have learning differences, or somewhere in between. We have learning styles and abilities across the board and believe that each of them has been educated with excellence. We have also benefitted from the many co-curricular opportunities of Athletics, Fine Arts and the many Leadership training activities. We are proud to be PCA parents. As we have told our boys often, we wish we could attend PCA as students!

  7. We have 4 children and have previously been in Frisco ISD and Lewisville ISD. We weren’t sure we could remain at PCA with 4 tuitions, but after 1 year there, we wouldn’t choose anywhere else. We will sacrifice to keep them here. The teachers care about each child and go above and beyond to help each one feel successful. The way they integrate prayer, God’s Word and serving others into all parts of the day are incredible!! It is a small town feel knowing other families, cheering at games and everyone attending homecoming parades and chapels. 5 years later we are still loving every minute!!! Such a God centered place.

  8. Growing Christian Leaders

I have a child in 2nd and one in Kinder. We have been at PCA since PreK and have loved every moment. Dallas is a big city, but, with the amazing community you get at Prestonwood Christian Academy it makes this big city feel small. I love knowing the parents, teachers, and administrators on a personal level. This is a school of real people who have come together to create a village. While academics are very important to us it is amazing to see a school focus on the whole child. I feel like PCA works to grow good Christian leaders for the future. Bible is not just a class along with Math and English but is a world view that is diligently incorporated into every subject promoting faith and christianity as a life style rather than a box to be checked off. I highly recommend sending your children to PCA!

  9. I love the teachers!

My son started going to PCA this year. He is in the 6 grade. The teachers have been wonderful. I love all of his teachers. They have helped my son feel welcomed in every way possible. It’s a very family oriented place. There are many opportunities for the families to be involved. The staff is always available to answer any questions or concerns. I love how they teach the kids to always put Christ first in everything that they do!

  10. Well worth the investment!

My daughter started Kindergarten at PCA this year, and we have also applied for our oldest to attend high school there next school year. I can’t say enough good things about this school. The faculty and administration are truly committed to seeing our kids succeed academically, spiritually, and in just everyday life situations. The teachers and staff are always available for questions and/or concerns, and I have no doubt they care for my child and that she’s in good hands. There are many opportunities for parents to be involved and it is highly encouraged. They are also very committed to diversity, which is a priority for us.

  11. So far no complaints!

We have enjoyed our first year here. My daughter has made great friends, I like that the school took measures to make each class of her grade diverse and that the staff has been very friendly. We’re happy to be here!

  12. We have been at Prestonwood Christian Academy (Plano) for 5 years. My oldest started in their Pre-K program. I could not imagine having my children anywhere else. The Kingdom Education worldview was very important to me. I love how Christian Values and servant leadership are interwoven through out the curriculum and lived out by teachers and staff. It is not uncommon to see someone praying at any given time. The leadership is amazing and caring. Parents are always felt welcomed on campus and our parental involvement is high. I love that my children have friends throughout the north Dallas area, the we wouldn’t have met if we attended the local public school. And we have relationships with those families that are likeminded and not just within our Local Church body. If the Lord places the desire at attend PCA in your heart, He will provide for your child to be there! He has done it for some many families and it is all for His glory!

  13. Best school north of Dallas

Great school. My daughter goes here for PreK and I will make the sacrifices to keep her there. They care, they challenge the kids and even though it’s a big school it’s very family oriented.

  14. Best thing we have ever done for our children.

Life changing- no joke. We started just this year, transferring my daughter at the beginning of 8th grade, another transferred mid year into 10th, and another started in Kinder. We fully expected it to be rough academically for them, and it was. My 8th grader had to work double hard to get used to the new rigor. My Kinder was also a bit behind her peers. However, now we are almost done with our first year and it is like night and day. My 8th grader was experiencing disappointing setbacks and issues in public school with other students, and immediately in PCA she made the best group of friends a kid can have. They also welcomed my junior with open arms. The love and support we get from the teachers is unparalleled. The classes we get for parenting and raising our children are incomparable. This school has integrity and is just a life saver. We will be transferring in two more of our children next year and could not be happier to be all in until all 6 of our 7 children graduate there.
If you have a kid that is being failed by public school, you want them to grow in their pursuit in Christ, and you want them to be pushed further than ever, this is the school for you. There is no better out there. PCA for lifers here.
